About the Item

This is a vintage Scandinavian Kilim rug woven circa 1950s with quite a beautiful composition. It features an elegant display of floral motifs placed on the perimeter, like a wreath of pansies. A subdued background of gray blocks with bands of alternating brown stripes allow the florals to pop out. The floral construction itself is quite remarkable. It was woven with tonal colors which create almost a 3D like effect like real flowers.
