About the Item

This is a semi-antique Swedish kilim woven during the mid-20th century circa 1950 and measures 282 x 194CM in size. This piece has a highly modern geometric design with complete and broken diamonds which create a multilayered effect and the incorporation of an abrash adds to its visual impact. Located in the center is a small-scaled diamond that acts as the pinnacle of this piece. At both ends of the column is located a single diamond that is protruding from the field into the outer border breaking the flat open field design. Located in the bottom left-hand corner is the signature of the designer “OA” which is used as a form of authenticity. This highly modern geometric kilim has been preserved in perfect condition and is ready to be used within any modern setting.
