This vintage Taspinar rug from central Anatolia captures the soul of Turkish village weaving in its purest form. Hand-knotted in the mid-20th century, it features a bold central medallion framed by a dramatic indigo blue field and warm brick-red spandrels, all bordered by golden olive vines and floral motifs.
Its geometric layout—anchored by stylized tulips and ram’s horn symbols—reflects the strength and optimism of Anatolian design. Naturally dyed wool gives the surface a luminous sheen and subtle tonal variation, creating a visual depth that feels alive in changing light.
