Woven from the silky fleece of Angora goats in the high plateaus of southeastern Turkey, this handwoven Turkish Angora kilim rug carries the warmth of the land and the quiet pride of its people. Its terracotta-brown field—rich, earthy, and softly lustrous—calls to mind the clay soil of Anatolia baked under the golden weight of sun and season. The mohair fibers, brushed and soft, reflect light in a gentle shimmer, giving life to its surface with every step and glance.
At the heart of the composition, a stepped ivory-beige medallion rises like a compass rose, anchoring the eye in its woven geometry. Within it rests a mysterious black motif, abstract yet potent—perhaps a tribal mark, a symbol of protection, or a stylized amulet passed down through generations.
