Originating from Turkey circa 1950-1960, the design enjoys traditional motifs in more transitional, yet rich tones of carrot red, pink, beige and even green. The medallion pattern enjoys natural movement and gravity while outlined with a chain of diamond patterns in similar tones for heightened definition. Connoisseurs
collectors may further note solid flatwoven borders with a series of geometric patterns attesting to this distinctive nomadic style.
