Hand-knotted in wool, a 5x7 vintage Tulu rug originating from Turkey circa 1950-1960, now joining Rug
Kilim’s classic tribal collection. The healthy high pile features a well defined checkered pattern in ink and midnight blue, with marigold tones lying juxtaposed with white further complementing the design aesthetics of the mid century era. The deeper hues read purple in several areas against the orange-gold background, hailing among one of the most unique shag pieces we’ve seen of this period.
All enjoying a delicious symmetry across scale, a vibrant piece in good condition, certain to bring warmth to an array of projects with such gorgeous colors.
