Anatolia Icons Rug reimagines classic Anatolian motifs; the bird, Elibelinde (Hands-on-Hips), and Nazarlık (Evil Eye Amulet) reinterpreted in bold geometric forms and vivid color blocks. Each symbol carries layers of meaning: the Nazarlık as a guardian against misfortune, Elibelinde as a sign of fertility and the creative power of womanhood, the bird as a messenger of freedom and good fortune. These symbols, once woven as quiet invocations of protection, fertility, and prosperity, unfold in a contemporary visual language that carries their spirit forward. The palette blends earthy ochre, muted green, and slate blue with soft neutrals, a mix of tones that feel grounded and serene.

Sirin Aysan through a mutual love and appreciation of individually crafted and handwoven rugs, Studio Marmi creates contemporary poetic expressions informed by Anatolian weaving culture, and inspired by the myths, art and history of the cultures of Asia Minor. Asli Smith is an artist and multidisciplinary designer based in Istanbul
New York. Sirin Aysan is a documentary filmmaker and creative executive based in Los Angeles. The brand was born out of their desire to work with artisans in their native land, Turkey and to create unique collections that express rug design as an art form.
