The Anatolia Kilim Collection traces a dialogue between past and present, reimagining traditional kilim motifs through a contemporary lens. The geometry of traditional kilims is reconceived through balance, proportion, and color, translating heritage into modern compositions that highlight the beauty of handwoven craft.
Anatolia Stripe Rug draws inspiration from the Anatolian Çaput Kilim, an ancient expression of sustainability where old garments and fabrics were repurposed and given new life as woven strips of color. This piece reinterprets their bold striped aesthetics into a contemporary composition through usage of color and variation, giving new presence to a heritage pattern. The palette combines earthy tones with vibrant highlights, bringing presence and vitality to the piece.

Sirin Aysan through a mutual love and appreciation of individually crafted and handwoven rugs, Studio Marmi creates contemporary poetic expressions informed by Anatolian weaving culture, and inspired by the myths, art and history of the cultures of Asia Minor. Asli Smith is an artist and multidisciplinary designer based in Istanbul
New York. Sirin Aysan is a documentary filmmaker and creative executive based in Los Angeles. The brand was born out of their desire to work with artisans in their native land, Turkey and to create unique collections that express rug design as an art form.
