Antique Anatolian Turkish Oushak Rug, 19th Century A classic central medallion with matching corner pieces is traced with golden garlands against the light khaki ground of this Turkish Oushak carpet. A matching border that draws a series of delicate linked palmettes frames the piece. Oushak carpets from this time period are known for their soft colors and luminous wool. Though woven with thick lustrous pile, the composition of this piece in nevertheless highly elegant.
