This 2x11 Antique Isparta runner rug is a very special piece from this provenance and Antique collection—hand-knotted in wool and hailing from Turkey, circa 1920-1930.
On the design:
Connoisseurs will admire this piece featuring a regal design that arguably represents the pinnacle of this antique lineage—particularly in its fine details and elegant sensibility. It’s equally collectible for being a rug like few of this Isparta, also called Sparta style and versatile size alike. Keen eyes may further admire especially present tones, as well as the sheer variety of such complementary accents that paint such an immersive portrait. This design features a particularly bright, almost vibrant pink underscores, a play of medallion and all over style geometric patterns, further enjoying navy blue and beige tones.
