The ecru ground shows four large geometric butterflies flying upward, with wings decorated in chains of small squares or small cartouches. Soft coral red. Cream side border blends in, with a stylized floral zig-zag. An amusing, imaginative rug with a very rare major motif. Wool pattern wefts, slit tapestry weave. Good condition.
