Originating from Turkey in 1890, this hand knotted antique Sivas rug enjoys a unique play on multiple variations of the ram’s Horn motif; a symbol of power, fertility, and protection complemented by the richest multi-tonal burgundy red background. Handmade with high quality wool, the perfectly alternating rows of quarter-diamond ram’s Horn motifs in the all-over field design host hues of startling white, bold black, green, and gold also found in the wrapping borders portraying multiple eight-pointed variants within sawtooth tribal borders.
