About the Item
A flat woven kilm, this rug is attributed to Konya of Turkey. The technique used to make this kilm is split tapestry weaving. The design consists of four rectangular panels with vibrant colors separated by three smaller panels all in vivid ivory field.
Colors from natural dyes are clear, cool and pleasing such as light and dark blue, salmon, pomegranate reds with some accent yellow. There is a cloth baking attached to this kilm that makes it perfect for a wall hanging as some kilms like this are made for hanging. The cloth is easily removable if one desires. The klim is in perfect shape and no restorations preformed on it.
