ARARAT RUGS
We know and believe that the geography we come from, our past, and our lifestyle are the most important bond between us to carry the oriental carpet art and culture to the next generations along with our core values in our ongoing growth journey.
We are aware that the way to achieve this goal and carry this priceless art and culture to the future depends on a lot of work with all our people every day while adhering to our core values.
For us, art is meaningful in the sense that it brings together various cultures around the world. It is an honor for us that oriental carpet art and culture have been instrumental in this for centuries and that we are a part of this business.
We are tirelessly keeping an eye on auction house information around the world about carpets. New York's Metropolitan, London's Victoria
Albert Museums, and other famous art museums, as well as small specialized museums that house private collections, and books about oriental carpets to collect information on outstanding carpet designs and patterns from around the world. It's our Self-improving and Self-developing culture.
As Turkish Culture of Hospitality, the Kurdish Culture of Generosity, and as Japanese Culture of Business Punctuality; are the most important values that this multicultural background has taught and bequeathed to us. It is essential and valuable for us that you feel this feeling not only by looking at our oriental carpets but from the moment you contact us.

Ararat Rugs Fachralo Kazak Rug 19th Century Caucasus Revival Carpet Natural Dyed
By Ararat Rugs
Located in Tokyo, JP
This is another Kazak example of the Fachralo a town north of Lori-Pambak and just southwest of Bordjalou, from the late 19th century, Caucasus area. It has given its name to a number of usually small, boldly designed, and brilliantly colored Kazak rugs but, although this has proved a useful descriptive adjective in the rug trade, it is one used by experts on Caucasian weaving with caution. Modern research also favors the spelling of Fekhraly or Fachraly. Structurally, all the pieces are fairly similar. The foundation is all wool; the warp is usually ivory or ivory mixed with one or more shades of natural brown, and the wefts are one or more of various shades of orange-pink, pink or red. It is framed with a series of borders, the main of which is the typical Bordjalou style. The most appropriate colors to match the original is used for this rug.

Vintage Turkish Oushak Rug with Tribal Style
Located in Dallas, TX
53225 Vintage Turkish Oushak Rug with Tribal Style 06'03 x 09'07. Steeped in the timeless mystique of Anatolian storytelling, this hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug is more than a rare textile—it is a luminous manuscript of sacred symbols, ancestral wisdom, and human longing. Set against a neutral beige field softened by age and imbued with the warmth of earthen hues, this exquisite work of art unfolds like a celestial map: a large-scale concentric medallion radiates outward into corner spandrels, each element meticulously adorned with the sacred language of tribal iconography. From the commanding presence of the signature Ram’s Horns—emblems of power and masculinity—to the curving grace of precious Elibelinde figures, this extraordinary masterpiece reveals a woven tale of harmony, fertility, and protection that has transcended centuries.
Every motif within this majestic carpet has been chosen with intention, forming a visual chorus of Anatolia’s deepest values. The fertility pattern, composed of dual Elibelinde and Ram’s Horn motifs joined by an eye-shaped amulet, forms the heart of the rug—an invocation for family unity, safeguarded by symbols of continuity like the Fetter and Hair Band. Other woven declarations include the Earrings and Comb motifs—silent yet profound messages of a woman’s desire for love, marriage, and protection against misfortune. These designs are not mere embellishments; they are ancient vows encoded in wool, symbols of womanhood, devotion, and the enduring spirit of Anatolian woman weavers.
Guarding this sacred composition, the rectangular end-caps at either end introduce an ornamental order through repeating quatrefoils and a delicate trail of triple diamonds. The entire piece is enclosed by a resplendent Ram’s Horn border—suggesting virility and sacred guardianship—flanked by inner and outer stylized floral guard bands and jagged sawtooth outlines that symbolically shield the soul of the rug. Among the rare and esoteric symbols embedded in the field, one discovers dragons guarding treasure, wolves’ mouths fending off darkness, and the Tree of Life promising renewal and immortality. Paired deer...
