The rug is constructed with a wool pile on a cotton foundation, reflecting contemporary Oushak production that emphasizes scale, softness, and tonal sophistication over rigid classical density.
The design is allover, framed by a single, low-contrast main border with faint inner and outer edges suggested by color shifts rather than hard outlines. The pattern features stylized palmettes, floral vines, and leafy tendrils, arranged in an approximately symmetrical layout without a dominant medallion. A slate blue-gray field is layered with muted teal, weathered taupe brown, and faded khaki beige, creating an analogous palette with restrained contrast. Subtle abrash produces gentle horizontal tonal movement across both field and border.
