Measuring approximately 12 ft × 15 ft 2 in (366 × 462 cm), it falls into a palace / oversize square-leaning format designed for expansive rooms. The rug is woven with a wool pile on a cotton foundation, reflecting contemporary Oushak production that emphasizes scale, softness, and tonal subtlety rather than rigid classical density. The design is allover, with no central medallion, and framed by a single wide border that is only gently differentiated from the field. The pattern consists of abstracted floral and palmette-derived vines, rendered large in scale and intentionally softened. A warm medium brown ground is layered with muted steel blue, sage gray, and slate blue-gray, creating a low-contrast, atmospheric composition. Border and field relate closely, with the border reading slightly cooler and bluer, maintaining visual continuity rather than strong separation. Construction features a medium pile height of approximately 6 mm and a moderate knot density (50–100 KPSI) typical of modern Oushak rugs. This structure produces a supple handle and relaxed drape, while remaining durable for everyday residential use. The wool pile offers natural resilience and soil resistance, and a felt or felt-rubber pad is recommended to support the rug’s weight and protect the foundation in large spaces.
