This hand knotted wool distressed vintage Turkish Sivas rug features an all-over checkered diagonal stripe pattern comprised of rows of multicolored diamonds. Each row of diamonds alternates between an array of colors that have softened over the years. A simple, but graceful Meander border frames the composition. Gentle waves of Abrash and variations in wear temper the otherwise bold geometric design. With its modern approach, soft hues, and just the right amount of age wear, this Zeki Muren-inspired distressed vintage Turkish Sivas rug would bring a sense of rustic charm to nearly any space.
