Woven circa 1900, this piece demonstrates a masterful command of both color and form, encapsulating centuries of Anatolian textile tradition in a palette and pattern that feel remarkably modern.
The ground of the rug is rendered in a soft, muted taupe-beige tone, which sets the stage for a delicate allover botanical pattern executed in washed-out rose, faded apricot, ivory, sage, and pale peach.
