A striking 1930s Anatolian rug, handwoven in Turkey with a saturated crimson ground and a bold stepped medallion in shades of gold, navy, and coral. The central motif floats within a field of red, flanked by angular corner spandrels and framed by a richly patterned border filled with stylized flowers and tribal emblems. The wool pile is low and even, with color that remains vivid nearly a century after it was woven.
