✔ An extraordinary vintage flatweave from Eastern Turkey, this 1940s Kurdish Kars kilim brings soulful color and tribal rhythm to large spaces. Its long format—nearly 13 feet—makes it ideal for hallways, great rooms, kitchens, studios, and open-plan interiors.
Bands of eggplant purple and oxblood red alternate across the field, each line filled with ancestral motifs—amulets, diamonds, and hooked forms meant to symbolize protection and abundance. The palette is rich yet beautifully softened by time: charcoal, muted olive, burnt gold, faded rose, and ivory all appear in delicate pattern shifts throughout.
Woven by hand with local Kars wool and dyed with natural pigments, this kilim has decades of graceful wear, giving it that perfectly broken-in character collectors love. It’s lightweight yet strong—easy to move, layer, and live with. A true heritage textile that brings depth, history, and pattern everywhere it lands.
