About the Item
Although somewhat worn, this Oushak is better woven than most. The red field displays a giant ivory medallion with four scrolling field intrusions, giving the effect of giant blades. Cruciform palmette central motif in straw with enclosed palmettes. Violutes and leaves in the bold medallion. Charcoal main border with reversing vinery open half cartouches.
