This rug is a Ziegler Sultanabad rug made on our looms by our master weavers in Afghanistan. It is handmade with all-natural veg dyes all hand-spun wool. The large-scale design makes Sultanabad regarded as the most appealing to European and American tastes. The rugs of Sultanabad are extremely desirable in the modern marketplace. The popularity of Sultanabad Rugs goes back to the mid-19th century. Sultanabad’s were designed and produced for export to European consumers in the 19th and 20th centuries, the Ziegler firm being the primary producer.
