A modern Turkish Patchwork rug created with antique and vintage carpet fragments. The light blue denim field is made up entirely of a vintage Turkish Kilim that is flat-woven with hemp. The field is bordered by a collage of pile rug fragments of mostly Persian village origin and in semi-geometric styles. The pieces are all colorful and diversely patterned and make intriguing artistic statements on their own. Patchwork rugs are a recent innovation in rug making.
