Hand-knotted in wool, this 12x14 antique Sivas rug, originating from Turkey, circa 1920-1930, features pink and green floral patterns with a beige undertone.
On the Design:
With similar regal colors as Oushak rugs, this Sivas rug features formal and elegant floral patterns like those of its own provenance and similar traditions. It's a subversive masterpiece in the rare meeting of regal and comfortable design as much as its super quality and fine weave. The muted and detailed floral patterns across the field are drawn in a way to give a sense of fluidity to the subdued design. It’s a regal piece, both extremely collectible and versatile in its large size and wide range of hues alike.
