About the Item

Taurus collection modern striped goat hair rug by Doris Leslie Blau Size: 6'0" × 7'0" (182 × 213 cm) Contemporary modern area rugs are among one of the most diverse types of carpets in NYC. Their designs sometimes shock with boldness, but this particular piece decided to go the other way and show that simplicity is sometimes the best choice. Woven by hand with great care it sports an interesting pattern, which could be considered classic if not for a small modern twist hidden in plain sight. Straight horizontal lines running through the modern carpet pattern are anchored by a pair of thick stripes at the top and bottom. Braided pattern in the middle was created through experimenting with length of the pile, made of high quality goat hair. The whole design is accompanied by a minimalist color palette composed of beige and brown, two natural shades which balance each other out perfectly.
