About the Item
This is a super fine Hereke silk rug woven in Turkey during the last quarter of the 20th century circa 1970-2000's and measures 36 x 32CM in size. This pictorial rug has an 18x18 weave which means that it has 18 knots vertically and 18 knots horizontally equaling 324 knots per square centimeter, making it one of the finest production rugs in the market. This example has been mounted and framed to preserve it and for it to be enjoyed on the wall. It is in perfect condition with its original Kilim finishes and all its silk tassels. The design of this rug is of a lady resting on a chaise lounge couch and the border has a floral design with different animals spread throughout and groups of swans in each corner of the rug.
