This Turkish Kayseri rug was made c. 1880s. It has a large intricate diamond in the middle composed of smaller floral and organic shapes. This shape is surrounded by a red field, and bordered by more floral patterns. This rug has several patterns leading up to the border where the top and bottom end with a subtle cream colored fringe.
