Woven in the small town of Mudjur in central Anatolia, it features a classic mihrab (prayer niche) design at its heart, emphasizing the rug’s original devotional purposes. The rich crimson field is framed by a stepped arch with a cypress-like floral motif, leading the eye upward in a spiritual ascent. The surrounding space, rendered in a soft sage green, is filled with stylized floral sprays and palmettes, highlighting the weaver’s skill and deep connection to nature.
