Made with handwoven wool originating from Turkey between 1950-1960, this vintage midcentury Kilim runner enjoys the distinction and gentility of a seldom-seen pink colorway, gracefully accented by a play of golden-beige and cream hues lending a complementary sense of depth and gravity to the medallion field design. The pagination of the transitional color combination with the pattern throughout this Kilim presents a very European appeal unique to a distinct array of selections from this period, as is the emphasis of the almost ornate six-pronged medallions while the more traditional motifs dance more whimsically along the border; a unique marriage of grandeur and subtle tribal accents in a very textural, almost abrashed look complementing the colorway.
