Made with handwoven wool originating from Turkey between 1950-1960, this vintage midcentury Kilim runner represents one of the most distinct new additions to our 1950s rug lines, sporting a meticulous geometric embroidery pattern against a borderless field design seldom seen among Classic Kilim of this period. The play of the textural embroidery with the bright and whimsical beige-brown and blue hues complements the exceptionally rich variations of red running the length of the piece, the pairing of which lends a natural sense of depth and arresting movement to the almost floating series of emblems and cross motifs with a possible, uncommon Postmodern European aesthetic further lending to the conversational rarity of this Kilim.
