A finely hand-knotted mid-20th century area rug from Central Western Turkey. This piece is woven with a low wool pile on cotton foundation, featuring an elaborate floral medallion design in soft beige tones set against a rich red field, framed by a complementary border.
The rug has not been overdyed — it retains its original colors and character. The pile has been evenly sheared low and the rug has been professionally washed multiple times, giving it a supple handle and a desirable vintage patina.
In very good condition, this rug is sturdy, durable, and well-suited for spaces with high foot traffic.
