About the Item
Among the most unique inspirations of Bessarabian provenance, an 8x10 vintage Kilim rug handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960. The piece is one of the more rare Art Deco style flat weaves from this lineage, enjoying a uniquely warm, playful marriage of pattern and colorway. An uncommon orange background hosts a delicious play yellows, pinks, and blues in medallions, stars, and other retro geometric patterns with the most inviting sense of movement.
Collectible, even for this coveted style among connoisseurs known for highly individualistic artisan works, very modern for its era. In great condition.
