On the Design
The Ersari are a sub-tribe of the Turkmen people, often known for their more distinct tribal rug designs.
In this rug, pink and beige-brown tones underscore geometric patterns in a play of medallion and all over style. Admirers of the craft may further note these four rows of repeating medallions in the field have a clear influence from Bokhara rugs of the same and previous periods.
