About the Item
This rug is hand woven in Turkey. Flatweave rug,also known as Kilm are hand-loomed textile with a flat surface-without pile-which present a relatively two dimensional surface. Their basic structure is a plain weave which results when warp and weft elements are interlaced on a loom. When weft elements, closely packed to hide the warp elements are used in defined area for patterning
This Kilm with vivid orange field and repeated pattern is accented with indigo blue and beige is a very fine example of flatweave carpet. No restorations found in this rug and otherwise is in perfect condition. Measures: 10'9" x 4'2".
