This vintage 3x5 Hereke rug is a collectible piece, and the next addition to Rug Kilim’s mid-century curations. Hand-knotted in wool from Turkey, circa 1960-1970. Further on the Design: This piece enjoys a delicious range of floral patterns in green and pink that play naturally on a beige-brown background. Keen eyes will admire inspiration from Aubusson rugs, and a fine European-style detail therein. The design is a gorgeous marriage of medallions, cartouches, and intricate borders with definition and grace seldom seen in this scale. A sophisticated piece of rustic charm and French country aesthetics. Further enjoys good condition for its age and origin, and a mild element of shabby-chic distress.
