This pair of rare vintage 3x5 Hereke rugs are the next addition to Rug
Kilim’s mid-century curations. Hand-knotted in wool from Turkey, circa 1960-1970.

These pieces enjoy elegant floral patterns in varied colors (pinks, greens, and reds respectively) that sit beautifully on their beige-brown backgrounds. Keen eyes will admire inspiration from Aubusson rugs, and a fine European-style detail therein. The designs are a gorgeous marriage of medallions, cartouches, and intricate borders with definition and grace seldom seen in their scale. Two sophisticated collectibles with rustic charm and French country aesthetics.
Further enjoy good condition for their age and origin, and a mild element of shabby-chic distress.
