This vintage 4x13 rug is a rare midcentury curation in Rug
Kilim’s Antique
Vintage Collection. hand knotted wool, it originates from Turkey circa 1950-1960 as a most unusual piece in its provenance.
On the Design:
This runner was most certainly handwoven on a standing loom (sometimes known as a vertical loom). Keen eyes will further note a meticulous color and pattern variation few tone-on-tone rugs of its period enjoy. The subtle variations in the green tones and the weave lend a unique sense of depth and movement. It’s a fascinating and conversational piece as much as one of simple and refreshing presence with vast design applications.

This midcentury runner further enjoys good condition for its age and origin, and is ready for the floor.
