About the Item
A finely woven wool rug distinguished by a pointillist pattern of red dots of different dimensions punctuating a natural beige background. The resulting pattern mimics the design we see on leopard skins, and has great decorative appeal. Rugs of this type were woven at the end of the 20th century in response to a demand for carpets woven with hand-spun wool and natural dyes, with patterns that would deviate from classical oriental rug designs. The square format makes this rug ideal for sofa areas in living rooms.
