53273 vintage Turkish Oushak rug with Romantic Arts
Crafts style. This hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug features a diamond-shaped medallion floating on an abrashed warm brown-taupe field. A delicate floral garland elegantly runs along the outer edges of the medallion, which is decorated with a superimposed rounded medallion with palmette pendants surrounded by a variety of floral motifs. Lovely scalloped corner spandrels are adorned with roses and floral vinery. A simple but graceful meander inner border and a lively palmette vine outer border frame the composition. The color palette is rustic yet sophisticated; the wine-colored medallion pops when set against the gray backdrop, soft shades of rose and apricot add a romantic touch, and earthy accent colors provide the perfect contrast. Along with its timeless composition and just the right amount of age wear, this vintage Turkish Oushak rug would bring charm and comfort to any interior.
