This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak runner with Modern Contemporary style manages to maintain its true mid-century credentials without sacrificing whimsy, personality and color. The Oushak runner features two columns of eight hexagonal amulet medallions, each filled with a stylized flower and dotted with tribal motifs and specks of colorful confetti. It is framed with a simple zigzag line. Set off with a traditional Oushak design aesthetic and sophisticated chic level of contrast, the waves of abrash sweep across the field enhancing the depth of the geometric pattern. Instead of serious and sterile, this long Oushak runner feels fun and light hearted bringing another cozy version of Mid-Century Modern style. Perfect for a hallway, alcove, modern mudroom, stair landing, galley kitchen, corridor, grand foyer, designer entryway, home office, private library, conservatory, wine cellar, executive suite, grand parlor, theater room, royal suite, billiards room, game room, bedroom, study, sitting room, sunroom-- or it would make a lovely accent next to a buffet in a dining room, behind the sofa table in the living room, or by a vestibule in a hotel lobby.
