On the Design:
Delicate floral motifs in sage green and pink tones create an intricate diagonal lattice across a beige-cream field. The design's defining characteristic lies in the repetition of stylized rose blooms, perfectly balanced by olive-tinted leaf formations—a hallmark of late 19th century Sparta workshop productions. Moreover, the lack of an outline on the branch patterns leads the eye to the textural beige background without any discernible border, a not-unheard-of but seldom-seen stylistic choice in select Sparta pieces.
