51333, vintage Turkish striped Kilim rug with Bohemian Tribal style, flat-weave rug. This handwoven wool vintage Turkish striped Kilim rug features double colored bands with symbolic Turkish motifs on a warm brown background. Rows of different geometric symbols known as 'eyes' are combined with rows of line patterns and symbols known as 'skeletons'. The symbols used are the Burdock, Comb, Snake, Hook and Chevron. The tribal designs in this flat-weave rug represent marriage, fertility, family union, strength and protection against evil. Blending tribal charm, ancient symbolism and Folk Art warmth, this vintage Turkish Kilim rug reflects generations of cultural beliefs and serves many design purposes. A Fine example of simplicity and universal appeal with a pop of color, this vintage Kilim rug embodies the concept of Bohemian home decor.
Rendered in variegated shades of brown, coffee, chocolate, camel, taupe, sand, tan, beige, ecru, brick red, clay pot, peach, orange, terra cotta, with other accent colors.
