About the Item
In this listing you will find Turkish Yagcibedir rug, a type of hand-knotted Anatolian rug known for its distinctive geometric patterns and traditional red and navy blue color palette. This rug originates from the Western Anatolian region of Turkey, specifically woven by the nomadic Yörüks in and around the Sındırgı and Bigadiç areas.
It features bold, geometric designs with a central medallion, with minimal patterns and a classic, rustic charm. The motifs convey symbolic meanings rooted in Anatolian culture, such as protection and prosperity. Hand-woven in the cca. 1940s.
Rug is in very good condition.
