Made with hand-knotted wool circa 1960-1970, this 7x10 vintage rug from Turkey is believed to be the work of mid-century Turkish artist Zeki Müren. It’s a rare and exciting new curation from Rug
Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection—a collection devoted to Müren’s remaining and inspired works in our craft today.
On the Design:
Chartreuse field underscores large-scale geometric patterns in red and black, with sharply drawn shapes and grid-like details lending an almost abstract sensibility—a playful mid-century modern sense of dimensionality among Müren’s celebrated design traits.
