This is a very fine example of a wool rug from the Yahyali region of Turkey. 100% wool and natural dyes dating from the 1930's. The muted dark blue and brown hues compliment the central geometric design of the piece . Predominantly brown with hints of burgundy and dark blue.A good blend of bold and muted tones. Yahyali is a town and district in the Kayseri province of Turkey well known for high quality rugs using natural dyeing techniques. The rug has been kept in a dry damp free environment and is in exceptional condition. This piece is versatile in size and would compliment any room.
