1930s French Art Deco Aubusson Carpet ( 12'10" x 16'8' - 392 x 508 )
This light, tone-on-tone French carpet shows a broadly stepped ivory thin border framing a straight laurel and “lollipop” stemmed flower design dividing the beige field. Subtle central oval. Quiet color with patches in straw and pale brown.
Looks like, but is not, a Da Silva Bruns design. Good condition.
The reduced palette is very au courant.
