Berber Large 1970s Stripped Rug Handmade Vintage Boho North African
Located in London, GB
This handwoven Algerian Berber rug is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship with a simple stripped design and vibrant colors. This generous size rug features stripes of various colors such as red, yellow, green and many more all set against a beige background. The rug is made using traditional Berber weaving techniques to create a unique and durable textile. The use of natural materials, such as wool or cotton, ensures that the rug is not only beautiful but also eco-friendly. The stripes on the rug are arranged in a horizontal pattern, with each color blending seamlessly into the next. The red stripes are a bold, rich shade, while the yellow stripes are a bright, sunny hue. The green stripes are a deep, earthy tone, and other colors may be incorporated into the design as well. The beige background of the rug provides a neutral base for the colorful stripes, allowing the colors to stand out and make a statement. The texture of the rug is soft yet hardware, making it a comfortable and cozy addition to any room. Unlike other Berber rugs that originate from neighbouring touristic countries and anyone could grab a rug, Algeria is not a touristic destination and therefore extremely difficult to find these rugs outside the country. We have a large collection of Algerian Berber Amazigh rugs...

Vintage Berber 1970s Geometrical Rug Handmade Wool Boho North African Ethnic XXL
Located in London, GB
A very large Algerian Berber rug with many different colorful patterns, such as arrows, diamonds, triangles, and more, stacked and organized in horizontal lines on a white/beige base, is a stunning work of art that is characterised by its standout colors of pink fuchsia and blue red purple palette. The different shapes on the rug's patterns hold cultural and historical significance, and the use of these standout colors adds an extra layer of meaning to the design. For instance, pink fuchsia is often associated with love and femininity, while blue red purple is often associated with royalty and spirituality. The combination of these colors and the different shapes on the rug's patterns reflect the Berber people's cultural and religious beliefs, as well as their skilled craftsmanship. The use of the white/beige base creates a neutral and versatile backdrop, allowing the vibrant colors and patterns to stand out even more. This rug's large size makes it a perfect centrepiece for a living room, dining room, or bedroom, adding warmth and character to any space.. This rug is handwoven using traditional techniques by Berber tribes in Algeria, and the use of high-quality natural materials such as wool and cotton ensures its durability and longevity. From a cultural and historical perspective, this rug is unique as it is a product of the Berber people's long-standing tradition of weaving, which dates back centuries. The Berbers are indigenous people of North Africa, and their weaving traditions have been passed down through generations, preserving their cultural heritage. Unlike other Berber rugs that originate from neighbouring touristic countries and anyone could grab a rug, Algeria is not a touristic destination and therefore extremely difficult to find these rugs outside the country. We have a large collection of Algerian Berber Amazigh rugs...
