This 5x6 antique Aubusson rug is an exciting new addition to Rug
Kilim’s European rug collection—an elegant curation of the French Neoclassical flatweave style, handwoven in wool and believed to originate from France circa 1830-1840.
On the Design:
Admirers of the craft may appreciate this design’s influences from those of the court of Louis XVI, though this is a mid-19th-century reimagining of that sensibility.
