About the Item
This European Savonnerie Rug has been hand-knotted in late 19th century in France. Owned by Coca-Cola magnate Robert W. Woodruff between 1948 until the late 1980s at his Windcrofte estate, the rug features an all-over floral design. The entirety of the piece is enclosed within a complementary, arts and crafts border, depicting small repeating motifs. The rug has been rendered in Light redish brown in the background with accent colors of coral, green, red, yellow, orange, lavender, light purple, brown, red, pink and ivory tones, making this rug a great fit for a variety of interiors.
