A beautiful Cuenca Spanish rug, beautiful design and color. This rug from the 2nd. Quarter of the 20th century has typical Cuenca Design. It was reduced in length and a new border was rewoven. This was probably done in the late 1960´s by the same workshop that made the rug. The condition of the rug is good, some old restorations and slightly lower pile in some areas. The warp of these rugs was made of jute. This material dries over the decades and a few splits are restored with wool.
